About Candlewick Greens
I think I made my first hand poured candle when I was 15, that was quite some time ago!
The candlemaking bug bit me that very first time so for the last 20 years I have been creating and improving and tweaking and pouring my soul into my craft. There are so many different waxes and over the years I have become accustomed to their little differences and how each one performs and what is suited to each item I make.
Parasoy wax is marvellous stuff, creamy and so slow burning, it holds so much scent and gives you a really good value burn for your money. I also love creamy container wax for its amazing ability to hold so much vibrant colour, really great for a funky modern candle.
I blend my own wax for some of them melts, blended to hold the maximum amount of scent and to give you the best quality product.
I just love it and love how the american trend for all things scented has spread over the sea to us here in the UK. I have a real weakness for scents so I carry way more than I should, new ones come out and I just can't resist them!
My little wax studio is groaning under the weight of so many scenty delights but I do think its important to give you the most choice I can.
I spend a lot of time testing my work, nothing leaves me until I am happy with it, I also have testers who give me constant feedback on my work. I hold insurance and urge you never to purchase from chandlers who don't, if they can't spend a little bit to offer you that protection please don't line their pockets.
I am sure you have all burned a cheap machine made candle and wondered why after 20 minutes you cant smell anything anymore, a lot of cheap candles are only fragranced on the outside, mine are deeply scented and hand poured all the way.
There is no comparison and once you have tried a hand poured well crafted candle you will find it hard to go back.
All my work is original, I have never suffered from a lack of imagination, in fact I mostly have a little too much. *wink* There are imitators of course, you must decide yourself if you would rather have the hard worked and original product or the cheap copy.
